Pointed and rounded tips are suited to different sampling sites. We wanted to take care of both parts of the process: a suitable tip for sampling and an easy transfer afterwards.

BLUE LOCKING VERSION · STRUCTURE
A twist latch to reduce accidental actuation.
The blue locking version uses a twist latch to reduce accidental actuation. After sampling, rotate to unlock the latch, then press the end to release the sampling tip into a centrifuge tube.
TRANSFER · TWO VERSIONS
After sampling, transfer the head.
Blue locking version
- Rotate to unlock
- Position the head inside the tube
- Press the end to release
After sampling, the push-button mechanism releases the head directly into the tube: keep holding the shaft and gently press the end. Snapping the shaft is no longer necessary.
White standard version
- Position the head inside the tube
- Gently press the end to release
After sampling, gently press the end to release the swab head directly into the centrifuge tube.

Consider the whole sampling experience
We wanted to make a swab that people hold so often a little easier to use. This time, we looked at what happens after sampling. Once the swab head was inside the centrifuge tube, the shaft still needed to be snapped.
Our thinking cannot stop when the sample has been collected. How the head enters the tube also belongs in the design. Only when the head is in the tube and the shaft alone remains in the hand has the swab completed its job. We want to take care of the entire experience, from picking it up to putting it down.
